Chloe Harvel started studying the violin at the age of 4 at the Suzuki Talent Education of Appalachia in Kingsport, TN. Throughout high school, Chloe studied with Dr. Carolyn Huebl and Dr. Stephan Miahky as a Myra Jackson Blair Senior Merit Scholarship Recipient at the Vanderbilt Blair School of Music and Prof. John Kochanowski and Prof. Chris Teal for chamber coaching.  Chloe served as concertmistress for Curb Youth Symphony at the Vanderbilt School of Music for four years.  In June of 2014, she was selected to attend the Kennedy Center/National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute on full scholarship in Washington, D.C.. She was accepted to be a participant in the 2015 Carnegie Hall National Youth Orchestra of the USA tour to China, but attended the Castleman Quartet Program to study with Charles Castleman. In 2016, Chloe was again accepted to participate in the 2016 Carnegie Hall National Youth Orchestra of the USA.
For their Carnegie Hall performance, the National Youth Orchestra performed Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6 under the baton of maestro Christoph Eschenbach. She toured with the orchestra to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Montpelier, and Prague under the direction of Valery
Gergiev performing Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 and Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 4. In the 2017 summer season she traveled again with the National Youth Orchestra on their tour of Latin America to Guadalajara, Mexico, Quito, Ecuador, and Bogoto, Columbia with Marin Alsop performing Mahler Symphony No. 1. Her master class performances include those with Brian Lewis, Stephen Clapp, Masao Kawasaki, Won-Bin Yim, Elizabeth Adkins, and Ani Kavafian.

Chloe has a passion for missions and has traveled with Global Missions Project to Israel, Cuba, Romania, and Bulgaria and Liya Ministries to Ukraine. Chloe’s future endeavors include continuing to teach violin and being involved in missions locally and globally.
